Halloween lands on a Saturday this year, and the forecast is actually cooperating. Think sunny afternoons in the 60s, crisp nights, and trick-or-treat routes from South Street to the Cape May Physick Estate.
This guide covers Friday, Oct. 30 through Sunday, Nov. 1, 2026 across Philadelphia and its suburbs, Delaware County, New Castle County and eight South Jersey counties. Two housekeeping notes: Friday is Mischief Night, and clocks fall back one hour at 2 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 1 – so you get an extra hour of sleep, and it gets dark about an hour earlier Sunday evening. The Eagles are on the road at Washington for “Sunday Night Football” (8:20 p.m.), so plan your watch party accordingly.
Weekend weather at a glance
Per the National Weather Service forecasts issued Wednesday afternoon, Oct. 28. No rain is in the forecast for any of these spots.
| Location | Fri. night (low) | Sat., Oct. 31 (high / low) | Sun., Nov. 1 (high / low) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Philadelphia | 47° mostly clear, light N wind | 65° / 47° mostly sunny | 68° / 51° partly sunny |
| Media (Delco) | 44°, N wind gusts to 20 mph | 63° / 45° mostly sunny | 66° / 47° partly sunny |
| Wilmington, DE | 45°, N wind gusts to 20 mph | 64° / 46° mostly sunny | 67° / 48° partly sunny |
| Cherry Hill / Camden | 44°, N wind 10–15 mph | 63° / 44° mostly sunny | 66° / 47° partly sunny |
| Atlantic City | 46°, N wind ~15 mph (Fri high 72°) | 59° / 51° mostly sunny | 61° / 54° partly sunny |
| Cape May | 46°, N wind ~15 mph (Fri high 70°) | 60° / 51° mostly sunny | 62° / 54° partly sunny |
| Toms River | 40°, N wind gusts to 25 mph | 61° / 40° mostly sunny | 64° / 44° partly sunny |
| Vineland / Millville | 40°, N wind gusts to 20 mph | 63° / 41° mostly sunny | 65° / 46° partly sunny |
What to wear / plan around: Daytime is light-jacket weather, but Friday night is the cold one – a gusty north wind drops Toms River and Vineland to about 40°, so bundle up for haunted hayrides, corn mazes and the shore. Halloween night stays in the mid-40s inland, so costumes with a layer underneath are the move. And remember Sunday sunset arrives an hour earlier after the time change.
